The Grit Guard Washboard is the new slant for scrubbing dirt from car wash tools. Grit Guard technicians sought to make the Grit Guard even better at trapping car wash dirt, and this washboard helps detailers scrub embedded dirt and grime right out of the wash mitt. This slanted scrubbing board attaches directly to the Grit Guard wash screen, and helps loosen and channel dirt from the wash mitt directly into the bottom of the bucket. Separating abrasive dirt from the wash water and wash mitt reduces the chances of installing swirls and scratches on your shiny car paint. The tall Washboard sits high above the wash screen, so users have an easy time dipping into the bucket to vigorously scrub abrasive particles from the wash mitt or sponge. Once the dirt falls through the Washboard, it settles in the still water underneath the Grit Guard Bucket Bucket Insert where it is less likely to end up back on the wash mitt where it can scratch paint. Three simple pieces snap together to create the perfect, contoured shape to fit to the Grit Guard wash screen and your car wash bucket. The grille of the flat Washboard surface looks odd with strange angles and oblong shape, but once propped up with the custom fit snap-in legs, the slots are revealed to channel dirt straight down and underneath the Grit Guard Bucket Insert. Fluted edges on the snap fittings on the two legs increase friction and ensure a solid grip with the Washboard screen. The legs will not pull out, and the Washboard will always stay at the perfect angle of attack for taking dirt out of any filthy wash mitt. The wash screen is also designed with a snap-on lip that hooks into the finger pull hole of the Grit Guard Bucket Insert. This creates a mechanical bond between the Washboard and Grit Guard Screen, and turns the two devices into one solid dirt-scrubbing car wash bucket filter. How To Use:
- Snap the two support legs firmly into place on the angled Grit Guard Washboard Screen. These legs fit one way.
- Line up the Grit Guard Washboard over the baffle fins and finger-pull hole on the Grit Guard Bucket Insert screen (sold separately) and snap the three attachment points into place.
- Place the completed assembly into the bottom of your 5 gallon 12” round car wash bucket and fill with water.
- Use the Two Bucket system whenever washing your car to further reduce the chances of installing any swirls or scratches as you clean your vehicle.
- Use the Grit Guard Washboard in the “rinse” bucket to scrub all the abrasive dirt and filth particles out from the wash mitt, and before returning to the “soap” bucket for fresh cleansing suds.
